Coal is the official state mineral of Kentucky.

About: Where Do Diamonds Come From?

Politically correct science is not science.
This the new bill nye
I have a deep question... why are diamonds expensive? Is it because of its name or looks or how it is made of?
Eruptions don't bring the diamonds up from their formation depth. Convection currents in the asthenosphere transport diamonds from as deep as 660 km (lower mantle) to the upper mantle, where they become included in high velocity, highly alkaline magmas that intrude the crust as dykes and eventually blow out as a kimberlite diatreme when the confining pressure is lower or the magma reaches sedimentary cover. These magmas can invlude fragments of eclogite (subducted oceanic slab), peridotite (mantle rock) and just about any other rock or mineral the magma comes into contact with, including diamonds. As for the C- source, there is a lot of work investigating d13C ratios and there is certainly biogenic carbon involved in the system by the subduction of carbonate (CaCO3) sediment but most Carbon is derived from the mantle itself.
Diamond has tetrahedral or cubic crystal structure...???
where do diamonds come from? level 16 to the bottom of the world
P.S the earth is flat
Diamonds come from Africa ❤...don't play.
Wrong! Diamonds come from the broken dreams and tears of black African orphans!
WTF is this guy on? Crack?
If he spoke any faster he'd vanish up his own ass.
Worst video I've watched in months.
as u would expect it! the ad preceding the video was a diamond store ad! xD
What about the process they use to make diamonds from the human body for burial? Is it the same process as the artificial diamonds you already explained?
Please do an episode about the artificial diamonds being made as nuclear-powered batteries
So, for your engagement to your environmentally concerned girlfriend, only by a ring with a synthetic diamond!
Kimberlite is very similar to my first name, and my birthstone is diamond.....interesting.
Chemical vapour deposition requires low pressures, not high pressures. I think you were confusing it with the High Temperature High Pressure (HPHT) method of making diamonds.
it's not same story dude synthetic diamonds are not diamonds some lab shit. only nature can make diamond not mankind
Could you use a diamond like a metal, and shape it like a blade or hammer?
There are harder minerals than diamond, (wurtzite boron nitride but only sometimes & lonsdaleite)
So you're saying that diamond is the hardest metal known to man?
You can make diamonds with explosives. Pretty cool actualy.

Coal stock

Coal is extracted from the ground by coal mining, either underground by shaft mining, or at ground level by open pit mining extraction.

Coal is primarily used as a solid fuel to produce electricity and heat through combustion. World coal consumption was about 7.25 billion tonnes in 2010 The price of coal increased from around $30.00 per short ton in 2000 to around $150.00 per short ton as of September 2008. In early 2015, it was trading near $56/ton.
