About: The Election Countdown | Q&A

They all laugh when Sheridan suggested the greens hate our society. If they bothered to actually look outside their inner city abc safe space bubble they would realise this is exactly what the majority of aus thinks of the greens party. The smug arrogance of these far lefties is off the charts
Fifield would make a Great Tap Dancer, but he has always been like that.
Both the Art Council and Fifield have no idea what the word “excellence” means. The proof is Australia has not seen anything of “excellence” for the past 30 odd years in the Art sector. The funds intended for a “Programme of Excellence” have been said to be a “slush fund” but which in the end is being used to reward the non-productive administrators of the Art Council instead of rewarding the artists who are the real productive people in the Art sector.
this is stupid... this is y i don’t vote...the key is too never register than the government can’t fine u and they can get money for your vote. Your vote has a value in a democracy.... 220 bucks so the rich can out bid us for power ie. labour gets 30 million from voters rich person goes..what do u know I’ve got 40 million for who are u working for now
No beneficial policies for single guys, who end up footing the bill for vote buying policies, especially those by Labor and the Greens. Demotivated, I quit working full time and paying taxes, so now I don't have to pay for someone's child care bill so they can work to pay off their home, and I'm definately not paying for the solar cells on their houses, or for the rebate on their electric car, or for their religious tax free churches. Be nice to see a political party makes things fair and stops the savage redistribution of wealth, but there's none in Australia
I also love how Mitch conveniently dodged the question about the inefficiency and dissatisfaction for the NBN. Clearly Mitch and the Liberals are in major denial about it and refuse to take any responsibility for the problems its caused people.
103.35 - Best question of the night! Of course Bowen dodges it like a weasel!
All about supply of housing eh? Nothing to do with demand? Allowing foreign buyers to buy as much as they want, bringing in hundreds of thousands of migrants we don't need every year. The world's greatest Ponzi scheme continues unabated!
Latest is that Labor are going to give first home buyers a grant to buy new houses. When will these idiots learn, all that does is inflate prices?!?
"Tax refund credits to people who haven't paid income tax" - ummmm, aside from all that income tax they paid for all their life! Instead, in Australia, the Dumb Country, we just send bucketloads of money from people who pay tax to people who've never paid tax. 60% of Australians are net negative tax payers - i.e. they get more from the government (taxpayers!) than they pay in tax. How Chris Bowen is that affordable?? These clowns need to be pulled up on this!
Bhakthi sounds like she's still stuck in the Year 9 high school debating team. Where do they find these muppets?
Geez Tony Jones is so blatantly biased. Always interrupting and patronising anyone right of Lenin! Impartial my foot!
Bhakthi, Bhakhti, Bhakthi. Typical Leftard. Mentions Christchurch and a synagogue shooting in LA. Doesn't mention the 200+ people slaughtered in a church by Islamofascists in Sri Lanka. Back to high school Bhakthi!
Lenore Taylor has a voice that could bake potatoes and a face that could scare small kids.
Has that Crikey clown actually read The Greens' policies? Wow. Just wow!
Bowen looks more and more like a rodent the more time goes on.
Chris Bowen is missing something when he says that $13000 from a nurse is going back to a retiree, what he fails to mention is that the government has already got $27000 from the company tax paid, $27000 that is not required to be paid by a SFR earing $63000 why $63000? Because that's about the value of the pension plus the tax free threshold. Meaning that that is the net saving to the government of having a non-pensioner on it's books. If they got un-franked dividends they will have a gross income of $90000. Essentially they would be taxed at 19% on the value over the $63000, which is $27000 x 30% = $5130.00 so in fact the tax refund would be $22000 odd. The current laws are therefore fair, even if you accumulate franking credits, they die with you and the government gets a quasi death tax. Labor can't add up.
this is waaaay too civil of a discussion for cable news. these people need to start shouting loudly over each other, ignoring questions and regurgitating talking points endlessly. you know, the AMERICAN way baby!
Yeah but when the PMG built a system they didn’t make promises they couldn’t keep. Also when the PMG rocked up to a job they knew how to use a shovel instead of waiting for a contractor to do it.
