About: The Anthropocene: The age of mankind - Docu - 2017

.
Sorry but Adam and Eve were the first people

No ancestors
NO evolution
Trump, stupid as always
half way in the doc I had to stop bc honestly I got little put off by couple of the 'scientists' appearance, one haven't brushed his hair in long time, the other's eyebrows are way overgrown.... I maybe sensitive but it just got to a point where I didn't want to look at them anymore no matter what they had to say, I mean how much effort does it take to comb one' s hair or trim one's eyebrows to appear in a documentary
Inuit are relatively recent arrivals from Asia. They were not here when my ancestors were, 12,000 years ago. The 4,500 years of Inuit wisdom do not include real climate crisis. This is all within an overall warm period. Overconfidence will see the end of that.
Greenhouse gases may bring on a next ice age in short term: the geologist should know that there is a model in which Greenland icemelt leads to a critical level of desalination of the Gulf Stream between Greenland and Newfoundland that interrupts the deep ocean cooling circuit. The deep ocean cooling circuit keeps the globe more even in temperature; when it stops, a sudden ice age will occur as cold water is isolated at the poles. This has been proven out in Greenland ice cores - that there have been several sudden onset ice ages that happened in just two lifetimes, and were preceded by high levels of CO2 (in the core air bubbles).
We practiced population control. We limited our footprint and maintained ecological health. Global mass extinction and climate disaster are the product of only SOME humans, not the humans you call "primitive" and :uncivilized," the ones who live in harmony and balance.
Indigenous People everywhere have always known how to love our Mother properly. Where are the Indigenous voices in this docu? Europe and Asia started the world destruction problem with 'industry.' But Native Americans and other Indigenous nations have traditionally practiced the solution to our current problem.
Humboldt and Darwin "discovered" what Native Americans have known for thousands of years: that life is all connected and we have a heavy duty of stewardship. All Indigenous people know this. Welcome to reality, Europe and Asia, welcome to the Awoke club. We've been waiting for you to recognize.
Great program...... but the machine translation from french to english leaves much to be desired........
Oil exploration in the ANWR, soon Greenland will be destroyed for it's mineral reserves, all for greed. Have we humans learn nothing ? Another informative documentary, well done VPRO.
It keeps being repeated that human hunting wiped out the mammoths, which is incorrect. Its just a lazy way to explain their disapearence. Our ancestors at this time did not live in a 1950's caveman cartoon. Nature was a relationship not a resourse. Which is plain to see in cultures that modern extraction culture was able to observe in recent times from our most ancient examples such as the San. We impose cultural reletivisms on our world demonstrating that we are the cartoon caveman, selfish, petty and ignorant. Let's not have ecologist ignore millions of years of grazing animals in numbers beyond today's imagination. Human herding practices apart from the sami have not been imitating natural grazing patterns. A more acurate name for this age would be extractocene. The idea that we need to extend capitalism into space is the stupidocene.
Thank you for the insights, particularly from  philosopher Bruno Latour, who isn't falling for rescue through technology or plundering from space: "There is a new world that's sensitive to our actions which we didn't know before. It's a new world." It reminds me of 'The New World' book, yet to be published, but available in part to read freely online at NewMessage org.
This is a major CRISIS we all must respond to. Making comments here and there are good to create awareness but what are YOU yes you doing to change your life so the world and its environment have a fighting chance to rejuvenate themselves? If we don't save this planet no other force will for we are the ones that have created the problems and there are many. And we are the ones that must solve them!!! Here is something to think about and look into: greatwavesofchange.org newmessage.org Nasi Novare Coram
Did tourists really blindfold themselves because they thought nature was ugly?
anyone has references about the facts mentioned at min 10:20, that tourists who crossed the alps used to cover their eyes because they were frightened?
All this nature lover, nature profets are the ones who ask us to chance our life styles, but I dont see themselfs chancing there own habbits. When you see how they are dressed, the lipstic she had,how they are living are very expencief, lux.

You can't hold it right? Like they told You
The old guy with the classes just wants everything (artificial) lel... A rather have some water on my doorstep than some random dude creating society.. Society exist even without the douchebags he's talking about.. The fact that this person thinks this scares me more than climate change.. Maybe relocating will be something new or refreshing. Old company's will stop or not and new ones can rise as well. Construction architecture industrie will have a good profit from thing relocating thing.. No? I mean I rather have guys from my own country moving here then 1mill immigrants moving from somewhere to here..
all of them are idiots. the only thing that needs to be reduced is population of africa and asia.
