About: Margaret Thatcher death: We look at her war with the National Union of Miners

they should have stayed out until the end of thatcher. they just gave in because they were not supported by the rest of the country. thats why no one cares about the strike breaking truckers and their pathetic fuel strikes..
the unions had seized the means of production for the common good.
thatcher turned that around so the common man is owned by a bank.

via property......
Thatcher bided her time to seek revenge on the miners for bringing down the Tory government in 1974 and it has to be said that was the miners sole purpose for striking in 74. Also scargill was the worst union leader in living memory.
No mention of Orgreave, perhaps the most significant event during the strike - Shhh
So glad mining is history.
The 1960s Wilson gov green-lighted dieselification of the railways when other countries converted to coal-generated electricity, thus losing the miners their biggest single customer. People forget about that.
Tatcher didn't want ppl to work for a living. She wants ppl to work for poverty and be motivated for it.
Is it true that British Intelligence used "black ops" to undermine the miners union during the strike?
This is why thatcher banned unions. Because it gave power to the working classes. Without unions, there tories will always win
witch whose system failed in 2008
plenty of coal where she is now
Seamus Milne wrote a deluded book "The Enemy Within".
Glorified labourers whose greed was their own downfall and no one else's , Maggie sorted you out

Big mistake getting rid of Britain's heavy industry.
Well done old lady. They would have whined and whined about nonsense for an eternity and ruined the economy. Well done for standing up to those layabouts and telling them to shove it.
