About: Jimmy Rose Coal Keeps the Lights On 1
This is such a heartwarming song. My Father and Grandfather were steel workers almost 70 years between the two of them. They so worked hard for the very reasons you sing about. I am so thankful for your song. I wish I had heard it sooner. I am from Hamilton Ontario Canada. All the best Mr. Rose.
My great grandfather worked in the Mideastern Ohio Coal mines as the economy shifted to natural gas after the area was all mined and now my family is on the same land we just dairy farm now beautiful song god bless all coal miners, you and your family
Love this song, my Dad worked in the coal mines in West Virginia until his death! I work on a strip mine in South Texas now and this song makes me home sick for those Blue Ridge Mountains of West Virginia
Great song...from Indonesian coal miner
Everyone that put a thumbs down y'all need to be kicked in the nuts
I may not work on the coal field....but I work with steel an welding. And everyday at work I keep telling myself. ...the steel keeps the lights on keeps the family what they need....at the end of the day...hang in there
The song and the honesty in your voice made an old man cry at the drive through window of Carl’s Jr. I’m blown away

23 people have never had to work their a$$ of for a living for a job that will never cover the cost of time spent from family.
I'm from Newcastle UK 🇬🇧 used to be a huge mining community. First time I heard this song it brought me to tears, beautiful voice but mostly a brave beautiful soul singing it ❤
this song would have went mainstream if it wasn't for the new wave of fake country singers from the city who've never had to work a day in their life
Tell Cole to turn the dang lights off every once in a while....dang kid don't pay the electric bill.
