About: Is GPU Mining Worth It Right Now?

Pew De Pie's brother.
The question of if minnig is profitable right now is kind of a rhetorical question if you view profitability based on ROI then no but if your looking to get in the mining game for the long run then i would say that yes it will be highly profitable based on the current conditions of the USD and the fact that brick and mortar retailers are closing down at rapid speeds and products can be purchased at about 10 to 12% cheaper online its safe to say we are in the beginning of the cashless monetary system and this entire bitcoin treand is defiantly a government experiment and were all just lab rats there going to make cyber currency the new monetary system to control all transactions and make sure they get there TAXES
Gamers are watching this with a smile on their faces
Noob miner question here....Ok so I just nabbed 6 RX580 8GB cards spent a good $2000 total for everything (Mobo, psu, storage etc etc...uhhh "i do not pay electricity" like it's free sooooo I'm still good to mine Ryt? As of may 2018 .
thank you crazy malcolm, i got 100k ready however missed the train and now i am not sure if to invest or not.. what are your thoughts
Mining Income > Power Cost = worth it .. but there is a risk. Hardware can fail, hardware is expensive. so it is more like an investment. A good trader may always be more profitable than a miner. The real benefit in mining is, that it is completely passive, as long as you have highly automated software running
Great video! You are on top of it. Keep it real man!!!
Mine 15 1060 3gb samsung paid off long time ago. And for me so far it's still profitable very well.
Noah wants his Ark back...lol
I'm looking into GPU mining.
For first time in months now stores have GTX1080ti and similar in stock and NO ONE is baying !! GPU mining craziness is finally over and soon prices on graphics cards will return to normal or even lower as market will be flooded with dirt cheep used high end graphics cards from all the miners giving up :) ROI on GPU mining is now 2-3 years and it has been wasted to invest in mining for months. If you absolutely want to make money on crypto currency trading will give you much larger profit much faster.
Great vid, thanks. Someone please explain: saying GPU mining is not profitable atm, you automatically assume the prices of coins will remain stable for eternity ? What if you're mining now with slight loss, but the coins you're mining 20x in the next 8 months? :D how can this be not profitable?!! So I think, if you're saying mining isnt profitable anymore, you can better sell all you have now cuz you dont believe in the future of crypto.. the issue we're left with is, which one will 20x ....
Platform: Winminer
Electricity cost: ~$.13/kWh
Total power usage (cards only) and $/day:
1080 - 1 @ ~180W @ $.74/day
1070s - 6 @ ~45W @ $.68/day
1050s - 9 @ ~35W @ $.25/day
750 - 1 @ ~18W @ $.25/day

Total $7.32/day, 783W, $2.44 cost per day, $4.88 profit per day, $146 profit per month.

The power usage on the 1070s seems low, but that's what Winminer is telling me... maybe I should get one of those fancy plug things.... meh...

So, yeah... that's what I've got and what I'm making currently... Of course it fluctuates throughout the day, but this is pretty much what I've been getting lately. Still not a bad deal.
U have a giant spot on your chin
on the graphics card msrp thing i got my asus rog strix 1070ti exactly for msrp but this was before everything went crazy
Thanks for the video...missed the boat
Great timing I was going to buy that set up I'm glad I saw this video. Was looking at bitmain antminer S9.. says it hash rate 13TH/s to 14TH/s cost is 1312 w/psu. Any thoughts on that? Or any 1 of the antminer? Thanks
ETH is not the most profitable. then you say its monacoin, wtf is monacoin. thanks for the misinformation.
I don't think, anyone will buy a mining specific GPU, for one glaring reason. Gaming GPU's already has a market, for recouping their investment back. With the markets dropping, i don't see anyone willing to buy a mining specific GPU's, with no end game when it's no longer profitable
Bitmain just came out with an ETHHash miner also so ya its about to get alot worse in couple months
