Did you know?

Coal is the official state mineral of Kentucky.

About: Inside a coal-fired power plant

Im a retired Union Boilermaker and now a days every entrance to the plants have ear plugs available and hearing protection is required
I wonder how many RPM’s those turbines are running?
Too much could anyone work there!!!!? won't it effect their hearing ???
Kinda nuts to make steam with natural gas when a gas turbine could skip that step. Maybe an interim thing until one happens. Boilers are heavily regulated as they can be dangerous if neglected.
Is this out in Delta or the one by Lake Powell?
