About: HBO Chernobyl "Now you look like the minister of coal"
Interesting fact: Leo Tolstoy was from Tula, as was Valery Legasov.
Lesson here Bey: don't wear your best suit when you go talk to the proletariat, even if you are a goddamn minister!
Jeez, I wonder if they really did ruin his suit like that? Makes me laugh, even tho I feel bad for the guy, he's just there to get them on the trucks. You just don't fuck around with blue-collar workers, esp those from coal & oil.
Tula means dick in my country
The real minister of coal was 60 years old retired miner who starts work at mines from 15 years old and HBO makes him like a sucker... "accurate" SHAME... SHAME... SHAME...
Awesome scene. I hope they give that crew chief another role
Well..... the minister of coal really should look like this
Una escena magistral. Le recordaron al ministro que los obreros son los que mandan en un sistema socialista.
Did this really happen? Or was it entirely made up by HBO? (The whole getting the minister dirty thing)
A refreshing bit of comic relief at the end in a grim series.
vs. the real workers.
I really feel for the minister here. He knows he is no-one in the eyes of these men. And he has no real power; he can only relay orders that others have given to him. He is nothing but a cog in the apparat
while coal workers provide the fuel without which it would stop.
And there he stands, with his nice suit, having to ask them to sacrifice themselves to save others, doing something he could never do.
So he takes the humiliation with grace... at least he can do that. Even smiling slightly as they haze and "accept" him.
This is one of the most powerful scenes in the show imho
Great scene......proves that coal miners the world over are the same....( no sh** from anyone :))
i died on this XDDDD
Love the miners.
My favorite scene
I saw an edited video from this scene but the edited version is soo bad, thid original is way better. The uploader of the edited version of this scene edited out some of the best lines/quotes :)
Now you look like a minister of coal :D
This scene always give me the chill
