About: Coal Mines of Whatcom County with George Mustoe

The Pattle mine also ran through part of Fairhaven creek. There were tracks in the bottom of the creek from the coal cars. It looked like they went right into the old brick tunnel that recently got rerouted east of the park. I heard from old timers who are no longer with us that a mine shaft was actually on the bank above the creek right across the creek from the park, and that it was covered over.
Excellent. Very interesting.
Think they could have found an narrator that can SPEAK??
