About: Coal Mine Inspection at Pioneer Mine Tunnel, Ashland, Pa
Great video, we will be at SEMA please subscribe to our channel!
My class went here for a field trip, it was super fun riding in the minecart. Shame you didn't get to
And coal mining is also what destroyed centralia😒
I live right in front of this!!! And took the tour in the car! How did u get special treatment ??
We reopened that Orchard Vein Gangway in the beginning of the video. It was the original tour to just that point in the 1960s. The two chambers that go up were driven for coal to run the steam locomotive. You can only see one chamber now because we covered the second one. It was driven outside as a second opening and dirt kept running down, so we closed it off. It took all winter in 2007 and some of 2008 to completely clean all the rock falls and retimber that section. It was a fun project and our start of underground Mine work.http://www.undergroundminers.com/pioneerwork.html
Timbers are still used in some bituminous mines mainly in the low seams where the Room and Pillar mining method is still used.
That was excellent. Great video. Nice to see people aren't afraid of getting dirty for an incredible exploration like this. Great job.
This was a really cool explore..I shared for you also..💗👍
