About: Caterpillar's Mining Automation Journey (Extended Edition)
They talk like it's such a good thing.wtf.not once was it talked about all the heavy equipment operators losing jobs. Caterpillar has multi Millions if not billions of dollars. These people who own the rights to Caterpillar don't think like regular human beings they're already filthy rotten rich and can buy everything but they don't want to pay people to work they would rather pocket that small sum of money
Do the trucks have a routine for backing up to a loader to get a residual buildup scraped out of the truck bed (where the payloads go)? This situation reportedly can get precarious during the dumping procedure due to sticky heavy material that refuses to slide down off the truck. It stays stuck 'cemented' to the front of the bed until heavy enough to tip the truck sideways during a future dumping of more material.
When will the switch to battery electric drivetrains occur?
Lies with improved safety and production. They love that they don't have to pay someone to do the job, thats the only reason they want it!
.....needless to say these machines are massive. What if the system gets hacked? How do you stop a fleet of these behemoths?
I love when people say, there is no way machines will replace people. Still think AI is still several decades away. The future sucks.
"Mining automation has long been a dream for those in the industry."
For CEOs hoping to line their pockets even more and rape Australia of it's wealth
Okay, but when can I call one with my Uber app? ;)
A great development in opencast mining.
i see the semi automation (remote control) coming to smaller machines for civil engineering. This means a safer better working enviroment for machine operators. well done guys.
looks like a liebherr excavator at 19:57
;D Cat aint good enough for loading i guess ;P
Yes, unemployment is always a good thing. Societies become unstable when income distribution becomes unbalanced.
Of course China could become tired of paying for this ore and just come take it by force.
The future? Interesting indeed. And not in a good way.
thx for getting me off the truck so i can work somewhere else! brings new meaning to "well someones gotta do it". this over the next 30 years will revolutionize our world.
Thank Yuo Very Much!Very good! excellent! Hungary.
bullshit putting operators out of work get fucked
Love this stuff....I repair the rims n wheels for a few fmg sites and other mining companies haul trucks/loaders/underground equipment over here in Western Australia...crazy to see these big trucks rolling around with no drivers.
Shame on CAT. putting equipment operator out of work. No longer a cat fan, um going to sell all of the models I gave colected over the years after watching this video. Shame on cat..
