Where I am it looks pretty similar to these older workings, it's a 100 year old mine though. They have been opening up and modernizing it but the upper levels are all still narrow vein track with stopes using 2/3 yard scoops.

It's quite something to even Think about the harsh reality of these mines.. Cold, silent, lonely, ingenious and utterly fascinating. Historical and spooky ! What a great channel -I mean to document stuff like this, for posterity, because it's obviously a very dangerous thing to do. Cheers.

, I would bet with the Quartz and sulfides their is gold in that. That is also where you will find nuggets that are worth carrying out by hand. Not the 10 grams per ton stuff.
A lot of people do not realize that the air we breath is only 21 percent oxygen. 78% of what we breath is nitrogen. Then the last 1% is a mixture of many different gasses.
