About: Bottom level of the Dentonia Gold Mine at Jewel Lake starting from the Ethiopia adit.

Where I work

Roof = Back
Top corners = Shoulders
Walls = Walls
Floor = Bench

Where I am it looks pretty similar to these older workings, it's a 100 year old mine though. They have been opening up and modernizing it but the upper levels are all still narrow vein track with stopes using 2/3 yard scoops.
I’ve been trying to reach out to the daughter of the man whose name was written on the wall. I think I found her.
True but they know they have basically no threats down there correct?
Favorite channel!
It's quite something to even Think about the harsh reality of these mines.. Cold, silent, lonely, ingenious and utterly fascinating. Historical and spooky ! What a great channel -I mean to document stuff like this, for posterity, because it's obviously a very dangerous thing to do. Cheers.
Do you ever find gold doing this?
Ever heard of a mine thats flooded above ground level?
another brilliant video!
You have your Oxygen monitor but what about that hard hat? ;)
Well chute.
Thanks Frank

Need close-up still shots of the minerals on the ribs - especially the beautiful quartz veins. Thought I saw some azurite too.
Frank, when your in mines, could you please read whatever miners graffiti you see, or focus in it for a couple seconds so we can read it. That stuff is very interesting. Thanks. Also, at 22:06, I would bet with the Quartz and sulfides their is gold in that. That is also where you will find nuggets that are worth carrying out by hand. Not the 10 grams per ton stuff.
A lot of people do not realize that the air we breath is only 21 percent oxygen. 78% of what we breath is nitrogen. Then the last 1% is a mixture of many different gasses.
The postman delivered my EAM t-shirt today- yay! Paid-up member now, When does the Christmas catalogue come out?
No boots? Who cares? Nothing stops you from exploring a mine. I love it!
Hi frank,
Love your videos , wondering what mine you recommend to see in greenwood or grand forks will be there for 2 weeks and want to see a few
