About: Adani coal mine passes final environmental approval | ABC News

This is an absolute disgrace. I certainly won't be voting for our current Queensland Premier again or her party.
Sigh. An ugly fat Indian will make proud Australians to work for him. Adani is a first class crook as much as India's Prime Minister, good luck Australia.
Sold to the 😈👈
Australia : the only country able to destroy it's main touristic wonder in a project that is gonna be obsolete in 10 years !
small minded belends
The Queensland Labor Party want a republic. They want to replace the Queen with the President of India. Start learning your Hindu Labor Party members, you will need to know your master's language.
The Solar power cost has fallen drastically here in India to the point where Coal plants aren't making enough money to sustain.

I guess that this mine won't be used for 60 years as intended & may get shut sooner.
So when do we start building our own coalfired power stations,??
Were they taking bribes?
Sad day for Australia
I am from India and honestly this just doesn't make sense to me. Even if you look from Adani's perspective , how viable is this coal mine ? India , the home of the company , is switching to renewable energy at a rapid pace. Countries around the world are doing so. Investing so much money into a project like this seems like a financially dumb decision. I am currently 16 and from what basic economics I have studied , it's baffling. It would have been so much more better if Adani instead invested on making a big solar plant in Australia. This project just won't be a success , from a commerical or an environmental point of view. The only good thing I can see with this are the jobs it will create and the infrastructure it will help enhance. Hope sense prevails. Love from India !🇮🇳🇮🇳🇦🇺🇦🇺
About time labor pulled Thier fingers out. They are always stopping progress. All there good for is to argue with liberal.
Let's see, short term jobs and profits over a livable planet-the local Queenslanders may have a smile on their faces now, wonder how their grandchildren and their decedents will view this disastrous decision.
I am an Indian. stop mining
All the people that are kicking up a stink, How many of you live in the bush?... how many of you live off the land?... or do you all live in a concrete jungles called cities, where your surrounded by concrete and everything its man made and 100 of thousands of eco systems were destroyed so you could live comfortable.
Queenslanders wanted and got it. Politicians change only if people change. In US, even democrats were not against gun rights and so many had to die before people changed and democrats are supporting it only now. Of course, future generations, current children, will curse how queenslanders shortsighted voting
GO SEE THE GREAT BARRIER REEF BEFORE IT,S GONE & ENJOY THE WHITE SANDY BEACHES !!!!
NO SUPPRISE EPA GAVE APPROVAL FOR COAL MINING NEAR BARRIER REEF ! THEY APPROVE OF DUMPING NEARLY ALL WASTE IN LANDFILL & SPIN SO MUCH BULLSHIT ABOUT RECYCLING !!!!!
That's why so much plastic ends up in our oceans !
BAMBOO & INDUSTRIAL HEMP FARMING can replace many plastics & wood, clothing and many other textiles & hemp can be used as a biofuel !
CERTAIN SPECIES OF BAMBOO grow 80FT IN 60 DAYS & BAMBOO CAN GROW IN ANY TYPE OF SOIL , NEEDS NO PESTICIDES , IS FIRE RETARDANT & STRONG IN CONSTRUCTION , can be used as insulation & SHOOTS of certain varieties are EDIBLE !!!
INDUSTRIES SUCH AS THESE ARE ECO FRIENDLY & CAN PROVIDE THOUSANDS OF JOBS !!!!!
LITHIUM USED IN BATTERIES IS VERY POLLUTIVE & BATTERIES MUST USE CLEANER SUBSTANCES.
ALL MINING has an impact on our environment & must be minimised.
LET'S SEE IF QUEENSLANDERS CAN BREATHE, EAT & DRINK COAL !!!!!!!!!!!
Say no to coal
More like 100 jobs
