About: Abandoned Gold Mine. Tyndrum, Scotland (Cononish)

5 years ago, I wrote that I would not go down I'm going through flooded mines and crawling down tunnels where my hat drags on the roof, how times change lol
Take a good look at all that Gold Ore on the walls, First pour this year, i would have been right in there, :Police are now cracking down on Gold panners there.
in going to Tyndrum to pan for gold funnily enough. I think I'll stay away from that old mine.
what's with all the creepy shit man
curious to how you got into the mine as it has huge metal gates and a big lock on the gates !!!!
whats all the yellow stuff on the walls? surely not gold?
How did you manage to get in TeEnZie
some good videos hope there is a lot more to come
I'd be taking a pick axe , I'd also be hitting the tailings, you never get allllllllllll the gold man
haha yeah I know, I might take a pan up to the river near by and see if I can find any gold :)
nice upload, are you scottish?
its very creepy
The mine was named as "Tyndrum Mine". I couldn't find a link for it online, it was in a university library sorry. Details would likely be in the British Geological Survey sheet memoir guide-book for the area.
Can you link that study? I live in tyndrum and love wandering through the mines
Theres quite a few old abandoned mines around Tyndrum. Theres one that has Uranium in it according to a British Geological Survey report I've read. It wasn't the gold mine though so don't worry, it was a mine nearby just west of Tyndrum at the hill called Sron nan Colan.
Look forward to seeing it :)
I might have a video up tomorrow, got 4 locations to check out! Uphall tunnel is great, sore on the back though, but fun with a boat! Pumpherston drain is also good and you can walk up straight lol :)
Are you working on any new movies just now? Some of the places you have been to look great. Think i'll be doing the tunnel at Uphall soon :) Also some of the places look great for some photography :)
nope not inside but found some gold flaked rocks in a near by river. I didn't go that far inside as it was getting dark and it was quite a far walk back to the car but still saw inside a good bit
Did you find any gold :) How far in did you go?
