love yr vids man, good to get out and explore hidden gems around where you live, should check out the old Victorian tunnels behind coppull mill if you've ever got time :) keep up the videos n congrats with the baby!

I know the old buildings you at Roy, they are on the right at the top of John Pit road I dont know what they where for but I wouldnt think it was for sewerage, maybe it was for a ventilation fan.
I remember one big ventilation fan being in Mill Dam wood which we used to dry our wet socks on after we had fell into the stream.
If you go into the woods you can still see brick work that was the entrance of the Standish hall drift mine, I remember the main washer was at Gidlow close to Gidlow cemetery, the train line some of them that you can still see run from Robin Hill at Standish, past Giants hall, John pit and down to the canal at Crooke
